We are seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor to join our client in Cypress, CA. This person will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management and possess knowledge of warehouse procedures, including inventory management, order dispatching, and vehicle tracking. Your familiarity with safety protocols and legal regulations will ensure the smooth and secure handling of all shipments.

As the key figure in our daily transportation operations, the Transportation Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of goods. This involves coordinating schedules, managing drivers, monitoring compliance with regulations, and maintaining service quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all related dispatch activities, like hiring, training, performance appraisals, etc.
  • Research and prepare resources to develop timely as well as efficient workflow.
  • Manage development and research as well as reconcile departmental reports.
  • Manage workflow and quota calendars of sub-contractors.
  • Manage complete daily installations quota and service calls in different geographic territory areas.
  • Ensure consistent visibility and monitor each technician throughout the day.
  • Identify issues or attain approvals for dispatching grids as submitted by Dispatcher Specialists on demand.
  • Convey departmental tasks for the guidance of management.
  • Maintain regular communication with all clients and external vendors, ensuring timely resolution of any issues that may arise.
  • Conduct routine audits and inspections of vehicles and drivers.
  • Conducted project management and coordinated duties as required.
  • Execute personnel activities per the company’s policies and applicable laws, Enforce compliance with federal, state, and local transportation regulations (e.g., DOT, OSHA).

Requirements and skills

  • Data entry, Email, Word, and Excel experience.
  • Required: valid Class B current driver’s license
  • Industry-related or equivalent export experience with domestic shipping and TSA requirements.
  • Prior experience in the logistics field or transportation of 6 months minimum.
  • Be able to stand/walk for long periods, frequently push, pull, bend, reach, and lift to 49 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
