Job Description:

In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional patient care, guided by the Nurse Team Leader. You will be responsible for the nursing care of assigned patients, including directing LPNs and Techs in patient care activities. Your patient-centered approach and ability to provide care to individuals across all age groups, from infants to geriatric patients, will be vital to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the nursing process, including Assessment, Nursing Diagnosis, Identification of Patient Outcomes, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation, to deliver high-quality care.

  • Assess and monitor patient needs, ensuring a patient-centered approach to nursing care.

  • Direct and support other healthcare personnel (LPNs, Techs) in the delivery of patient care.

  • Collaborate effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and hospital staff to foster a positive care environment.

  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare setting while exercising sound judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Maintain a professional demeanor and demonstrate excellent customer service skills in all interactions.

Position Requirements:

  • Current Alabama RN License is required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are preferred.

  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to provide compassionate care.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.

  • Demonstrated flexibility, resourcefulness, and cooperation in dealing with diverse patient populations.
