As Production Specialist is a critical part of tooling development team and focuses on statistical process control.  Primary focus in extrusion department, then other departments as needed.
 
Essential Functions
Other duties may be assigned:
  • Investigate production and quality issues and work with production supervisors and machine operators to correct processes.
  • Solve technical and processing issues; suggest changes on PLC’s.
  • Coordinate production trials (new compounds, new material), evaluate the process, and share the results with the team.
  • Conduct capabilities studies.
  • Complete material testing.
  • Coordinate continuous improvement projects.
Required Education and Experience
  • Engineering or technical degree or equivalent education. 
  • Plastics processing knowledge
Competencies
  • Possess high attention to detail, planning and organizational skills. 
  • Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with team and be fact and results focused. 
  • Be hands-on, self-motivated, independent, and a strong team player.
