Lead Designer
West Chester, PA

We are seeking a Lead Designer for a remote role with our client in West Chester, PA. Compensation depends on experience level. At least 8 years of design experience with most being recent eCommerce experience is required. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Figma experience desired.

The Lead Designer will help to innovate and champion our customer experience across all digital products.

Responsibilities

● Partner primarily with Design, Digital Product, and Engineering Teams, alongside our product team to expand and evolve the customer experience.

● Reports to the Senior Vice President of Digital Product, with strong dotted line reporting to the Vice President of Design & Creative.

● Directly manage a team of UX/UI product designers, providing mentoring, performance management, task delegation, and administrative responsibilities.

● Under the direction of the Vice President of Design & Creative, own, manage, and evolve the design system to ensure consistency across all products and journeys.

● Design projects across the entire product lifecycle and support launches of various features and formats.

● Deliver on data-driven initiatives with relevant solutions, and establish workflows and frameworks that help scale products and solutions to diversified audiences.

● Manage day-to-day sprints and check-in frequently with team members to ensure timely deliverables.

● Work with VP of Design, VP of Product, and engineering leads to establish sprint designs.

● Deliver weekly check-ins to the management team regarding features delivered and in flight.

● Plan, design and manage feature design sprints from end-to-end.

● Mentor and define process flows for design team and individual members as needed.

● Help unify the user experience by establishing customer journey guidelines for product roll-outs.

● Identify gaps in workflows and resources.

● Be autonomous.

● Has designed sprint roadmaps based on business needs and technical capacity.

● A thoughtful designer who can think systematically and implement visually with design and prototyping to bring a vision to life.

● An excellent teammate, communicator and facilitator.

● Able to bring clarity and insight to problems that are broad and ambiguous in scope, integrating user, business, and technical constraints into a compelling narrative

● Are experienced in conducting user research and usability testing, and turning the output into data that can drive product design decisions.

● You have an online portfolio that you can share with us.

Qualifications

● At least 8 years of design experience, with hands-on experience in areas such as digital advertising / performance marketing, social media, email or similar fields

● At least 5 years of recent e-commerce design and development experience

● Experience working on creative projects and teams

● Experience leading design teams

● Experience producing and iterating under tight timeline and multiple iteration cycle

● Minimum 2 years experience designing and building digital lifestyle and SaaS products

● Comprehensive knowledge of the design and creative advertising processes, including using data to inspire insights, inform intuition, and validate outcome

● Drive to evolve, collaborate, and be courageously candid

● Must have experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Figma

● Experience in HTML, CSS and other email marketing tools is a plus

● Experience in motion graphics, video production or photography is a plus

● Experience in CMS platforms and marketing/sales tools (ContentStack) is a plus

● Passion for wine and innovative technology is a plus

● Design test required
