Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cytotechnologist to join our laboratory team. In this role, you will be responsible for examining cell samples under a microscope to detect abnormalities, such as cancer, infections, and other diseases. You will play a crucial role in supporting patient care by providing accurate and timely diagnostic information to healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and examine cell samples using microscopic techniques to identify abnormal cells and conditions.

Apply various staining procedures and laboratory techniques to enhance cell visibility.

Collaborate with pathologists and medical professionals to review findings and ensure accurate diagnoses.

Maintain detailed records and documentation of diagnostic processes and results.

Ensure compliance with laboratory safety standards and quality control procedures.
Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree: A bachelor’s degree is typically required, preferably in cytotechnology, biology, or a related field.

Cytotechnology Program: Completion of an accredited cytotechnology program, which is usually a one-year post-baccalaureate certificate or master’s degree program.
Certification:

Board Certification: Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is required. Candidates must pass the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) exam to earn the Cytotechnologist (CT) credential.
Skills and Competencies:
