Position Overview:
We are looking for a Cardiac Cath Lab Manager to join our team at prestigious medical center in Austin in Texas. This role will oversee the daily operations and workflow of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, ensuring efficient patient care and the optimal use of nursing resources. The position requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to operate under stress in a high-demand environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the Cath Lab, including nursing staff, patient care, and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to ensure top-quality patient care.
- Monitor departmental budgets, approve expenditures, and ensure financial compliance.
- Handle recruitment, training, and development of Cath Lab staff.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Make critical decisions independently, particularly in high-pressure situations.
Qualifications:
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider certification through the American Heart Association.
- Registered Nurse (RN) credential from the Texas Board of Nursing, obtained before hire or transfer.
- Education:
- Professional licensure/certification.
- 3 years of clinical experience in a Cath Lab or related field.
- 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
