Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and set up CNC milling machines to perform various machining and cutting operations.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM software, particularly FeatureCam, to facilitate machining processes.
  • Take corrective action and adjust offsets as needed to ensure parts are within specification limits.
  • Work under the general direction of the department supervisor with minimal supervision.
  • Make changes to machine offsets and replace worn or broken tooling.
  • Assist with program management and ensure proper documentation on work orders.
  • Visually inspect parts for defects at specified intervals and conduct required quality checks.
  • Read and understand written work instructions.
  • Instruct others on machine setup and operation.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement activities to help the team achieve goals related to quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
  • Learn and apply basic computer skills required to complete work orders.
  • Experience reading blueprints and using precision gauging equipment, such as micrometers and calipers.
