Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following
- Perform structural engineering design of temporary structures used in the construction and demolition of buildings. Temporary structures may include shoring, reshoring, falsework, formwork, crane foundations, crane tie-back connections, temporary stability bracing.
- Perform structural engineering design for construction procedures used in the construction and demolition of buildings. Construction procedures may include erection plans, demolition plans, jacking sequences, and post-tensioning sequences.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, MS in Structural is a Plus.
- 8+ years of engineering & design experience
- Florida PE is Required. SE Preferred.
- Experience designing to the requirements of IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AWC, and AISI codes.
- Expertise in the analysis and design of reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, structural steel and tubing, cold formed steel, timber, masonry, and foundations
- Proficient in Revit, MicroStation, Autocad, and/or other drawing software
- Willingness to travel, as it may be required
