Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a key member of our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Your expertise in utilizing advanced radiologic technology and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team will contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, and other cardiovascular imaging procedures.
- Operate and maintain fluoroscopy machines, digital imaging systems, and other specialized Cardiac Cath Lab equipment.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records, procedure logs, and required paperwork.
- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, adhering to radiation safety and infection control standards.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, providing support in critical scenarios.
- Stay updated on advancements in cardiac imaging technology through ongoing education and training.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program with a focus on cardiovascular or interventional radiography.
- Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist; additional certification in Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography (CVIR) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, with a strong background in cardiovascular imaging procedures.
- Proficient in operating Cardiac Cath Lab equipment and technology.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to patient-centered care.
